Exam material: the binary option restrictions protect private clients who live in Cyprus.

Current law (since July 2019): the ban applies wherever the client lives; only the CFD measure depends on residence.

How to prepare with ExamPass CY

Is there a free trial?

Which exams do you cover?

The CySEC Advanced, CySEC Basic and CySEC AML exams. Each has its own question bank and mock exams: Advanced has 1,679 questions in 14 chapters and a 70-question mock; Basic has 829 questions in 8 chapters and a 50-question mock; and AML has 534 questions in 8 chapters and a 40-question mock.

How long do I keep access?

There is no expiry date. What you buy stays in your account for as long as your account is active.

Do the prices include VAT?

Will I see the same questions in the real exam?

Nobody can promise that. Our questions follow the official syllabus and the current exam format, and the mocks are weighted like the real exam. Understanding why a rule exists and how it applies is what the hints and explanations are built for.

Is the content up to date with the law?

The questions follow the official exam material, which the exam is written from. Where the law has changed since, the explanation and the study note tell you which answer the exam expects and what applies today.

Can I retake a mock exam?

The All-in-One includes five full mocks, each a new random set of 50 questions. A single Full Mock Exam is one attempt, followed by a full review of every question.

Are you affiliated with CySEC?

No. ExamPass CY is independent and is not affiliated with CySEC, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

What is the format of the CySEC Basic exam?

50 multiple-choice questions across 8 chapters, in 60 minutes, with a 70% pass mark (35 of 50). Our full mock has the same 50 questions and chapter weighting and scores you against the pass mark. It has no timer, so time yourself for 60 minutes to practise the pace.

Do I need CySEC Basic or Advanced?

It depends on your role. If you deal on own account, manage portfolios or give investment advice, you need Advanced. If your role is limited to reception and transmission of orders or execution of orders, Basic is sufficient. Advanced covers 14 chapters, Basic 8.
